Your Baby Can Read is surely an early language development technique for infants and preschoolers. Based on the investigation of Dr. Robert Titzer, the DVDs employ whole reading and a few phonics to help little ones learn language patterns during an optimal time while their brains are developing rapidly and so are intensely focused on obtaining language patterns.
According to Dr. Titzer, babies can learn the particular patterns of written language as naturally and easily as they learn the patterns connected with spoken language. Often though, babies are not encountered with enough written language for this learning to occur. The Your Baby Can Read! system contains five DVDs which are focused on helping babies and kids approximately five years old be able to read by giving these people a multi-sensory experience with heavy exposure to print.

program and feel very intrigued! But I'm never the type to just jump around the phone and order anything that intrigues me. I did some quick research and read up on some reviews - as well as the result is mixed.
While it's great, and proven, that the children most often have positive results, "reading" words and recognizing what they're, but then I wonder whether it's actual reading or just memorization. And even I have found out about The Hurried Child by David Elkin. I've never actually browse the book, but I've learned around the results/outcome of his book in different courses throughout my knowledge, K-12 and Uni.
The Your Baby Can Read program is founded on the fact that your baby uses associations to understand new things. It will show them what the phrase looks like, show them a picture on the word in action, and let the baby hear the sounds of the word in action also. So using the senses of sight and appear, your child is being entertained by seeing each of the pieces come together.
Ever wonder why kids can learn the latest language MUCH faster than you can? Their brains are just tailored for learning language superior to ours at that era, and there's no reason to stifle that. My kids are in a position to excel in their educational institutions because we started at this kind of early age, and this makes fewer headaches for me in looking to help them with their particular homework.
I have seen the Your Baby Can Read infomercials numerous times, but I was anxious to put it to use myself with my own toddler and see the results.
I must admit, the Early Learning Workshop DVD that accompany the program, which you are encouraged to observe before beginning this program using your child, is VERY overwhelming. It is long and unless you then have a great attention span (I actually do not) you may perhaps skip the DVD, read the Parents guide and get started.
